This year, Danse Macabre HAD THE HONOUR OF RUNNING THE LONDON HORROR FESTIVAL PLAYWRITING COMPETITION IN COnJUNCTION WITH THE LONDON HORROR THEATRE FESTIVAL AND AMC NETWORKS ‘HORROR CHANNEL’, to find the next new writers of horror. 

To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the publication of Frankenstein by horror icon, Mary Shelley, the theme WAs Women in Horror. ALL ENTRANTS HAD TO BE EITHER FEMALE OR HAVE THEIR SCRIPT PASS THE BECHDEL TEST.

The winning play ‘GOODNIGHT MR. SPINDRIFt’ BY NANCY NETHERWOOD wAS performed as a rehearsed reading by Danse Macabre at the Opening night of the Festival on the 7th October AT THE OLD RED LION THEATRE.
